About Territory Native Plants

Territory Native Plants (TNP) operate a production nursery in Berry Springs supplying quality NT Native Plants to the trade, as well as a retail outlets at Millner (by appointment), Finlay’s Stone, Berry Springs, Home Hardware and Katherine Mitre 10 (seven days).

The nursery is operated by Tim Moore and Travis Messner, long term Top End locals who are passionate about the promotion of NT Native Plants as an ecologically sustainable alternative to exotic plantings, and are supported by a wonderful team of qualified horticultural staff, ecological consultants, landscaping contractors and volunteers.

TNP propagate over 300 species common to the Top End’s wet dry tropics, from across woodland, coastal, monsoon forest and riverine habitats;

>> Large termite and cyclone resistant shade trees,

>> Bird and butterfly attracting feature plants

>> Fragrant, flowering and screening shrubs.

>> Groundcovers and finch attracting woodland grasses.

Native plants are adapted to the Australian climate, requiring less water, less fertiliser and less fuss, so you will have more time to sit back and simply enjoy your garden. By planting native flowering plants you can also attract (and help to preserve) some of the unique Australian wildlife, including birds, frogs, lizards, butterflies and native bees. These creatures will help to control insect pests in your garden and pollinate your flowers

Passionate about Territory Native Plants

Learn how we harvest and grow.

When we build new developments, we should be trying to encourage people to engage with the local ecology…we should be taking drought-tolerant plants that are in northern Australia and use those as city plants. What we should be doing is getting native tropical plants into cities.
