Moderate sized semi-deciduous coastal & monsoon vine forest tree containing purplish black fruit. Lush foliage and seeds that contain an aromatic oil used in candles and soap. Young leaves eaten by livestock. Wide medicinal uses. Very important food source for the vulnerable Atlas Moth. An excellent lush planting for suburban and rural properties, provided ample moisture.
